The Mental Health Policy Network (MHPN) is a student-led organization focused on advocating for and advancing mental health policy at local, state, and national levels. We are dedicated to making sure that mental health is treated as a priority in our communities, schools, and beyond.
We aim to create a world where mental health policies are not only effective but accessible to everyone. By raising awareness, researching, and advocating for better policies, MHPN strives to build a future where mental health care is as routine and supported as physical health care.
✅ Raise Awareness: Hosting events, sharing stories, and starting conversations.
✅ Advocate: Connecting with policymakers to push for better mental health policies.
✅ Support: Creating safe spaces where students feel heard and supported.
Mental health challenges affect millions of people worldwide, but policies often fail to address the scope and complexity of mental health needs. From the lack of accessible mental health care to the stigmatization of those who need support, there is a critical need for systemic change.
We are here to bridge that gap. We are students, educators, and advocates working toward a future where mental health policies are inclusive, accessible, and effective for everyone—regardless of race, socioeconomic status, or location. We envision a world where mental health is recognized as a critical component of overall well-being and where policies actively work to support those in need.
Empathy & Inclusion: We believe in policies that are equitable and accessible for everyone, regardless of background or circumstances.
Collaboration: We believe in the power of working together, bringing in voices from all sectors to create well-rounded, impactful solutions.
Innovation: We are always looking for new, forward-thinking ways to address mental health challenges and improve current systems.
